Do they really eat cats and dogs in East and South-East Asia?

I saw a few videos on Youtube. But, is it widely practised?

One of my friends who was on a six month backpacking trip to Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam remarked on the total absence of urban wildlife in these countries. Like there wasn’t a SINGLE crow or pigeon in sight -no stray dogs either.

  1. Kim Hyun Su from South Korea!!!! says:

Straight to the point, not every person eats dogs and cats. Im South Korean so East Asian and i’ve never seen a single person eat a dog.

There are people who do eat it but you can’t say everyone does. I was attacked racially by people saying i eat dogs and i was bullied but i know the truth so it didn’t hurt as much.

Your friends trip might have been abit exaggerated when he or she says there’s no animals. Do you see stray dogs in places like London at lunch time when everyone is out eating? Most asian countries are overcrowded so that might be one reason.

I’ve never seen a pig in the middle of London so does that mean every person has eaten off the pigs? nope.

The straight answer is: NOT EVERYONE EATS DOGS AND CATS. ABOUT 3-5% DO OUT OF SOUTH-EAST AND EAST ASIA’S POPULATION.
